Wonderful bike ride through historic areas!
A bunch of us (Biker Babes) from Amelia Island had a swell time on the Riverside-Avondale tour at the beginning of April. This was our second tour with Leigh (e2ride) (first was the Beaches) and she didn't disappoint. The ride is easy and delightful through historic areas of Jacksonville. Biking is a great way to view the wonderful homes and scenery and Leigh provided a number of stops in order to give us brief presentations on especially interesting landmarks and for snacks she provided. The bikes are top-notch and Leigh is very organized and informative. Suggest having dinner later after tour (as we did) at a restaurant in the historic Avondale center.

Everyone visiting Jacksonville should try a bike tour with Leigh. Not only she is very knowledgeable about the history and who's who of the many Jacksonville neighborhoods, she is fun, engaging, and someone genuinely care about the communities here. HANDS DOWN THE BEST THING TO DO IN JACKSONVILLE. Whenever my wife and I visit a new place, we always ask the locals: "If you had one day to spend here, what would you do?" I've lived in Jacksonville for 5 years and have always struggled with what my answer would be with an out of town guest.

I'm partial to the Riverside Avondale tour (I mean come on, it's only one of the best neighborhoods in the country), but all the tours are remarkable.
Throw your inhibitions into the wind and book your tour today. It's not a rigorous ride, so don't let the bike ride scare you. It's a perfect way to spend a nice day!
Leigh made this tour a Great experience! We were treated royally, she provided everything (sunscreen,water,snacks, great bikes). She had wonderful stories to tell about the local flavor.She explained the different architecture styles, Eco-friendly landscaping, and native plants. She has researched local history and has developed relationships with the neighbors. This allowed us to actually be invited into an artist's home and see her priceless art, including a picture of Monet's Garden she painted while there.Will definitely encourage others to tour with Leigh!
This was the BEST 3 hours we've spent in a long time! Wow! This was SO MUCH FUN! We can't say enough good things about this adventure. In fact, I would even take this out of the TOUR category and place it under the ADVENTURE category! Our guide, LEIGH, was so knowledgeable about the Riverside/Avondale area that you'd think she knew everyone who lived there! As we rode along the quiet, tree-lined streets, it was as if we had just entered Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. Everyone seemed to know LEIGH. The residents, merchants, Postal employees, UPS, Sanitation and even Yard workers all waved and greeted her (and us) along the way. We learned so much interesting history and information about the area. Leigh will provide you with snacks, water, and everything else you need to enjoy a morning or afternoon around Jacksonville. She even takes pictures for you during the adventure. So worth the $$$. She really goes over and above to make sure you enjoy this adventure. What a treat!
